Spot the Deception
Can you tell when someone is lying? Learn the subtle cues agents use in the field.
Micro-expressions
Fleeting facial expressions that occur within a fraction of a second. These involuntary movements often reveal true emotions before the liar can mask them.
Baseline Behavior
Crucial to spotting lies. Establish how a person acts when telling the truth first. deviations from this "baseline" under pressure are red flags.
Story Retelling
Liars often rehearse a story chronologically. Revisit the story later in the interview, starting from the middle or the end, and ask for unexpected details. This increases their cognitive load, making inconsistencies harder to manage.
